Student Teachers and Classroom Observers

Kilgore ISD welcomes student teachers and observers, and we hope you will call Kilgore ISD home after you graduate!

To request STUDENT TEACHER/OBSERVER placement, please follow the steps below:

1. Complete the following forms: 

• Student Teacher/Observer Request Form 

• Confidentiality Agreement

• Criminal History Information Request

• DPS CCH Verification Form

2. Submit your completed forms to your college, university, or alternative certification program representative/advisor.

3. Your program representative/advisor will email all completed student forms to Kilgore ISD Human Resources.

4. Your program representative/advisor will receive an email once the background check has cleared and the official placement has been completed. 

5. Contact your Kilgore ISD Cooperating Teacher to make schedule arrangements. The teacher's contact information will be included in the placement email to your program representative/advisor.

 You cannot begin your assignment until all steps have been completed.
