Mission: Kilgore Parent University will help engage, educate, and equip parents to become leaders and advocates for their child’s learning.


Vision: By partnering with academic institutions, community organizations, and district departments Kilgore Parent University will equip families with additional skills, knowledge, and resources to influence children’s lives.

Presented from an employer’s perspective, learn how to write a resume that gets you the attention you WANT and NEED!

                       Audience: Students in grades 6 through 12 and/or their parents.

Learn about general requirements for applying to colleges as well as information on testing requirements such as ACT, SAT, and TSI.

Audience: High school students and/or parents.

Helping families overcome the myths surrounding mental health and sharing resources for help.

Audience: All students and parents

Session 8:  Interview Employability Skills                                                                                    Room 116:   7:10 pm & 7:35 pm

Employability skills are core skills and traits needed in nearly every job. Learn, from experts, the general skills, that make someone desirable to an organization.

Audience: Students in grades 6 through 12 and/or their parents.

Session 9:    FAFSA, Scholarships and Financial Aid                                                         Room 117:    7:10 pm & 7:35 pm

Did you know that beginning with the class of 2021, EVERY graduate must have completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)? Discover WHY it is so important to complete the FAFSA to receive scholarships and financial aid.
