Face Coverings

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

To help ensure this back to school plan, KISD has set the following priorities to serve as our 2020-21 foundational core:

  1. KISD will ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our Bulldog students, staff members, and visitors,
  2. KISD will continue our educational environment goal of providing maximum instructional delivery with an emphasis on face-to-face learning, and
  3. KISD will provide flexibility for continuity of learning should the learning environment or ultimate configuration need to change.

In line with our current state mandate concerning the use of face coverings, and in an
abundance of caution for the overall health and safety of our KISD students and staff.

  • All visitors to KISD campuses and facilities MUST provide their own face covering to
be allowed entrance to a building.
  • All visitors to KISD campuses and facilities MUST wear a face covering for the
duration of their visit or until permission to remove the face covering is received by
    KISD personnel.
  • All KISD staff members and students MUST wear a KISD appropriate face covering to enter a school bus. The face covering MUST be worn for the entire duration of
    the time aboard the bus.
  • All KISD visitors, staff members, and students grades 6-12 MUST wear a KISD appropriate face covering to enter all KISD facilities. The face covering MUST be worn while
standing or walking in hallways and other large areas of space such as corridors,
gymnasiums, libraries or other areas deemed large enough to limit the enforcement
    of social distancing guidelines.
  • Face coverings may be removed, as appropriate, inside classrooms, individual office
suites or offices, while eating or drinking, or when approved by KISD personnel.
