If you have a child enrolling in kindergarten this year and want to challenge her/him to learn a second language, then you should consider Dual Language. Here students learn the same curriculum as all others but they are learning it in a second language. Half of the day is taught in English and half is taught in Spanish. Students are taught to work with a bilingual partner as they complete their classwork so they are practicing language all day. For more information, click the KISD Bilingual/ESL web page here and you will find frequently asked questions, a short video, and the application for Dual Language.
