Personally identifiable information which is maintained to provide educational services to students with disabilities will be destroyed seven years after the student is no longer receiving special education services, (if it is no longer needed to provide services to the student), unless the parent notifies the district otherwise.  Personally identifiable information includes, but may not be limited to referral data, notice/consent documents, assessment reports and supporting data, IEP team deliberations and supporting data, and the IEP.  Parents of students or former Special Education Adult Students with records on file for these years are advised that these records may be needed for Social Security Benefits or other purposes.  Records will be destroyed September 30, 2011.
