Again, congratulations on
being selected to NHS!
Please review the
following information regarding the
induction ceremony (Monday, April 25th)
and membership dues.
Ceremony
1.
Remember to arrive by 6:00.
2.
Dress code will be in effect. Gentlemen
should wear slacks (no jeans) with a
dress shirt and tie as well as dark
shoes. Ladies should wear either a
conservative dress or slack set. Clunky
shoes should be avoided since you will
be walking on the stage staircase and on
risers on the stage. Lighted candles are
a part of the ceremony…Be aware of
possible hazards!!
3.
During the ceremony, be on your very
best behavior. This is a serious
occasion and should be approached with
reverence.
Membership dues
1.
All new members are
expected to pay dues since this is a
national organization that requires the
chapter to pay dues and various fees.
These dues are
to be paid by April 19th.
2.
JUNIORS: In order to simplify the
process of selecting optional items,
each member’s dues will be $30.00.
This will cover the local and national
dues, the purchase of an NHS patch, the
membership card and pin, and the
purchase of an official NHS t-shirt. The
patches and t-shirts will be distributed
at our first meeting in August.
3.
SENIORS: Since the seniors will not be
returning in the fall, they will pay
dues in the amount of $15.00 and
will receive an official NHS patch and
pin. Seniors will not wear the stole at
graduation without paying dues.
4.
NO members will receive their membership
card until dues are paid.
