NHS requires members to complete 5 hours
of community service a month. It seems
that it is easy for some members yet
difficult for others. All this is is
helping out your neighbor, your school,
your city or your state. Community
service is not a what one would do for
pay. It should come from the heart and
wanting to help others out.
Suggestions for community service
could be delivering Saturday Bread,
grading papers, babysitting (w/o pay),
teaching Sunday School or Vacation Bible
School. More services are helping with
the cities various services,
organizations or city events.
The student has to be resourceful and
find their own services to be completed.
Sometimes NHS does some kind of
community service together and that
could count towards your hours.
Going to the NHS meetings could give
you a chance to volunteer for a service
that is being offered. |
