Job Shadow Day is an opportunity for 8th grade students at

Maude Laird Middle School to explore their career interests.

On February 12, 2008, students spent the day with someone that works in the area who has a career that the student might like to pursue. The employers take them on their usual daily routine, and the student can experience first hand what that occupation consists of. The jobs shadowed ranged from Veterinarians to Hair Stylists to Teachers. The following pages created by the Kilgore ISD Technology job shadow students, are a few overviews of students and their job shadowing experiences.

We would like to thank our participants for allowing us to have this valuable experience.

Also, thanks to Mrs. Darla Williams, MLMS Career Investigations Teacher, for working so hard to put this together.
