District policy is no charging meals or ala carte items. If there is a problem, the students or parents must make arrangements with the teacher or principal for charging before the lunch period. We strongly encourage you to purchase meal tickets. Minimum purchase is 10 days or more or you may purchase for the entire school year. The money is deposited into the student's account at the cafeteria. You will not lose money due to absence, the money is carried over. When there is a balance at the end of the school year, the account balance is transferred to the next grade for the next school year. In the event that you relocate to another area and the student withdraws, then the account balance will be refunded. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

RETURNED CHECKS - Kilgore Independent School District uses a third party agency to collect returned checks. Returned checks will be collected electronically along with the state allowed fee.

If you have difficulty paying for meals, please complete a meal application for free and reduced price meals. This can be done any time during the school year. For more information please see Free / Reduced Meal Program page, or call (903)984-2073 for the Child Nutrition Office.
