The Kilgore ISD Child Nutrition Program provides the most nutritious and affordable food students will like. The current program features:

  1. Menus designed with student appeal and preference in mind.

  2. Fulfillment of school lunch and breakfast patterns.

  3. Free and reduced price lunches for students who qualify, with the same menu as the paying student.

  4. Maximum use of government commodities in both breakfast and lunch menus.

  5. A varied Ala Carte menu.

  6. Minimum waste through the use of standardized recipes. Food preference surveys taken throughout the district are used in menu planning.

  7. Accurate purchasing through production records and menu planning.
